    Feeding question

Hi guys i am new to the forum and also new to owning ball pythons. My ball is nearly 600 grams and about 2.7 foot long, i think ( 82 cm ). Now i have been feeding him every 5 days a small rat of 40 grams but sometimes after feeding him he still looks hungry. Yesterday i fed him a 40 gram rat and today i noticed he is hungry, when i walked past his enclosure his head came out of his hide as if he was waiting for food. I then gave him another 40 gram rat and he took it as soon as i gave it to him. My question is, is this to much food Please can you help.

    Re: Feeding question

My guy tends to looks for food after every time I feed him (every 5 days)

I think sometimes it just takes them a while to register that they've just eaten, just like it takes humans 10-15 minutes

A small rat every 5 days is plenty.
