    Back from the vet.

Ok well the bump was what I thought it was ... an impacted gland. He stick her with a needle and got it all out. She is in fact a SHE. and she weighs in at 1633 grams All in all she is in good health. YAY!!

The worse part about the whole visit .... I left the top off the tank while I was gone and f'ed up the humidity!!! grrrrr I can't believe It did that!

Eh oh well.... I'll get it right again ...

Great! I'm happy to hear that avy is healthy as can be! Don't worry about the humidity in the tank, it will get back to normal pretty quick. If you left the lid off then that means the humidity is probably low, so it will just take a bit of time for it to build back up.
    Thanks!

    Re: Back from the vet.

vet called today ... told me she may have to have this procedure done once a week for up to six weeks. And to watch the bump. If it fills back up come back next week and he will show me how to aspirate it myself, send me home with needles and all. He said he didn't see any reason for me to pay him 60 bucks a week for something I can really do myself. Good thing I have helpers to hold her

I'm glad that Avy's doing better and that she is, in fact, a she. Congrats on being a Mommy. Isn't it wonderful?
