    Re: my pastel (first BP)

im using a digital hygrometer/thermometer as you can see on the back wall of the tank in the fog pictures, im using a exo-terra utrasonic fogger, gets humidity up to 70% in no time with the top screen fully uncovered even, im going to pick up another hide soon and ditch the half log... im also planning on picking up a 40 breeder to accomodate a second ball python, planning on a female mojave like i said, also probably going to switch to cypress mulch soon... thank you for the kind words !

As been stated before, please ditch the log and pick up two(not one) identical hides for him.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but when you say you're getting a 40gallon breeder, are you going to be putting them together? -Raises a brow.-

The fogger is not always on, I fog it up for a half hour to an hour till the humidity raised to 70% and turn it off, by the next morning it's down to 55% and I repeat the process, it's good for simulating morning dew

As for the two hides, I'm getting them for the 40 breeder, actually I'm getting 3, because I do plan on putting both a mojave and pastel together... So I do believe that answers both issues

-Winces a little bit.- Please don't keep them together. You'll hear it much more bluntly from other people, but there are numerous reasons why you should NOT be keeping multiple snakes in one enclosure.
    1. The chance of cannibalism.
    2. The stress factor.
    3. Them vying for the warmest spots.

    Just to name a few.

Are you more interested in something that's aesthetically pleasing or in something that will be cheap, easy to clean, and easy to replace, more comfortable for the snake as a whole(imho) or...?

honestly one of my favorite parts of this hobby is setting up enclosures, personally i dont mind the maintenance, and it helps keep me busy... i dont like being idle, i really like going with a natural themed setup, and even though its a bit pricier i like the tanks as show pieces in my room... call me silly if you want , but compared to saltwater this hobby is cheap
