I need HELP

I posted about this in advanced husbandry - don't go see it if you have a weak stomach. Right now i need (preferably) an experienced reptile person in the Michigan area to contact and help a girl who has taken in a snake with a really really severe rat injury. The snake needs extensive treatment if not euthanasia and the girl has no money so she's just rinsing it with betadine. The poor thing has to be in intense pain and she's unwilling to just take it to the hospital. Please --anyone in the Detroit area -- contact me so we can get this animal dealt with.

i wish i could go pick it up but i don't have the funding to pay for what this poor thing would need. We have one of the best vet colleges in the usa about an hour and a half away but it is definitely beyond what i am capable of caring for.

She won't surrender it to a hospital to be euthanized. She is adamant about giving it a "chance"... I asked her if i could get someone to come get it and take it to get treated, would she give it up and she said she would happily do that. She just doesn't want it to be put down for sake of convenience - which means she's unclear about how extensive the damage is. ...but she's impervious to suggestions that it's that bad, and is skeptical of turning the snake over to anyone, or any institution, that harbors that perspective.

so... if anyone here lives in or around Detroit and can go pick up this snake and get it in to see someone - pls lemme know ASAP!

( i know i keep saying that but I'm desperate...)

i know everyone knows that i wish i could do more. I just don't understand how you can be so stubborn about this.
