    The Boa Savior

El Salvador translates literally from Latin to 'The Savior' - maybe its because everything there is so beautiful?! unfortunately the country is plagued by civil war though
Anyway, after doing a lot of reading and finding out most, if not all El Salvador boas have a pink/orange belly for the last 3rd or so of their body, and also reading on boa-constrictors.com that "They are typical Central American boas, showing a grayish brown ground coloration and a considerable number of saddle patches (28 or more) which usually fuse into each other on the flanks."

I decided that my pair must be El Salvador boas after all(having 28 and 30 saddles!)

anyway this girl shed out and look how stunning this boa really is!

    pre-shed:

and post shed - look how amazing she looks!!!!

How does she compare to the Costa Ricans?

Have you talked to Bryon over at boaddiction.com? He works with those guys too.

    Cool snakes, great patterns.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

in my opinion el salvadors are one of the prettier localities - costa ricans can still get quite large and often dont have the sexy saddle pattern
