Tonight's full moon will be the biggest of the year!

    Get them pairs going tonight!!!

    -------

The full moon Friday night will be the biggest one of the year as Earth's natural satellite reaches its closest point to our planet.

Earth, the moon and the sun are all bound together by gravity, which keeps us going around the sun and keeps the moon going around us as it goes through phases. The moon makes a trip around Earth every 29.5 days. But the orbit is not a perfect circle.

The moon's average distance from us is about 238,855 miles (384,400 km). Friday night it will be just 221,560 miles (356,567 km) away. It will be 14 percent bigger in our sky and 30 percent brighter than some other full moons during the year, according to NASA.

In addition to the moon's influence, we have a strong winter storm coming in today and lasting.... many days!!!

Good gosh I hope this female spider figures it out with the lemon!!!

    I know

Being in North Idaho we are going to get POUNDED by this storm. Its going to take our little city and completely cover it, hopefully this winter isn't as bad as the last, we got buried.

Followed by -20 something temps, with the windchill....

The snow is supposed to start today, so I doubt we'll get to see the moon

Yeah- I don't think we''ll see the moon...

The weather will be fun for a while....!! We have a strong wind warning going on as well and then some really frigid temps are going to happen Sunday and Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and...... Brrrr........!!!

I live just west of Bend, Oregon and we're apparently getting about a foot of snow. I went out and did a ton of grocery shopping to see us through. I'm also picking up my new pup at the airport today-- it was close to the temp cut-off (she's coming from Michigan) but we made it!! Thank goodness, because with our temps it would have meant waiting another week or so

I know its supposed to be so cold Sunday, Monday and Tuesday here too. I am keeping my son home from School monday because its just too cold. They will send them outside, and he is 5 years old. Too little, and way too cold for little lungs to be outside.

Oh, and I have to simply remind you... PICS
I want puppy pics. Is this the Kangal Pup?
