It definitely took some time but I've perfected keeping my husbandry fairly constant for both my snakes. And switching the BP to a tub helped out loads. The only problem I haven't perfected is the changing of the seasons and the temperature fluctuation that comes with it.

I probably won't be getting one until late next year so I'll be sure to do tons of research in the down time.

And Tricycle, I'd love to see some picks of your black blood as I'm mainly interested in them. As they are the smallest of the bloods can they be kept in tubs for their entire lives? And what is a good price for one? From the quick searches I've done they are all $200+. And sorry for the barrage of questions.

GOOD ones will run you 250.00+ But you can find them anywhere from 100.00 to 150.00 if you arent so concerned about looks, and just the snake itself. Im sure that price is still variable, I dont keep up on prices so much... but from just me browsing around, those are the ranges i saw.
I personally wanted a snake as dark as i could find, because my main interest is the super black Sumatrans. They are absolutely fantastic looking! so i paid a little more, but still he is worth every penny and then some! I have no doubts hes going to be one heck of a looker when he gets older.

If you had tubs large enough, i dont see why not. They get fat, so you just have to keep that in mind as far as height and width goes for whatever tubs you look into.
But dont take info just from me, this is my only Sumatran, so i am FAR from an expert on the species! Im just trying to help you out, from my perspective, and how i felt when i was first, seriously, looking into getting them. They arent as intimidating as they sound though, care wise... you just have to be diligent.

I personally plan on upgrading to a cage, AP or the like, for this guy in the future, since id much prefer to be able to see him.

I have a few pics i can share now Chris here (m00kfu) has Some nice critters too!!!
