This is way off topic but I heard that all Calico cats are female, does anyone know if this is true?

Yes, 99% of calicos and torties are female - just like 99% of all orange tabbies are male.
Male calicos (when you can find them) are generally sterile.
I LOVE calico's!

That is so intetersting! I never knew that... and I have a Male Tabby, and a female Calico. My little sister did have a female Tabby when we were younger, but now that I think about I have never seen another.
I am going to have to look into why this is now? Anyone know?
