    something may be wrong..

I was looking at his head and behind his mouth and there looks like a lesion or tear that maybe shouldnt be there. This is my first snake, though. Can you please let me know what this would be caused from or if it's normal?

I can't see anything wrong in that pic, but a good way to tell if it's supposed to be there is to compare it to the other side of his head. Chances of him having the exact same injury on both sides are slim - so if the other side looks the same, it's probably nothing.

On the other hand, if there's something visibly wrong and you don't think it's likely to fix itself correctly without help, then it's the vet for you and your little buddy

I looked at his head and the sections are almost exact so I'm not guessing it's an injury and he eats with no problems whatsoever.

Yeah he is still shedding there are a few places that need to come off.

thats good to hear, but if you arent 100 percent sure, then go get a check up. Wouldnt worry about the skin on his head, it will come off with the next shed.

^x2 unless it wraps around his entire body...in that case you may want to get the vet to take care of that while you're there(if you deem necessary). Other wise just a 45-60 minute soak in some warm water should get the skin to peel right off.
