How to hold my snake again if i havent held it in a long time

So, I have not held my snake in awhile, how do you think I should start holding him again?

it's not too complicated

Try doing what you normally did, but maybe give the snake a little "fair warning" first, gentle touching before you pick it up etc.

First, you pick him up. Then, you hold him. XD

For real though, I would start with just touching him in his enclosure. If he seems ok with it, then scoop him up. If not, then just try a few days of peeking in on him and touching his back until he gets used to you again.

pick up the hide! I often have to do this for my BP to give her a good lookover since she only wants to come out during the hours of midnight-2 AM.

Slowly remove the hide, then stroke him and finally, pick him up and hold him tighter than your One true love. O_o I've been watching Anaconda again.
