Planning on Getting a Boa

So I am going to get another snake and I have decided on a boa. I think I'm goin with a BCC because I absolutely love that deep red tail and I really want it to keep into adulthood. Most RTB's I have seen in person have browned out and just arent nearly as attractive.

I'm really digging on the Suriname's with that blue body and then the blood red tail... I'm waiting until the Pamona show at the beginning of next month to get one.

Are these pretty common and I will likely be able to get one there and what is a good price for a female hatchling?

Suriname Boa (or any Boa c. c) are pricey if you get a high quality one. And by quality, that doesn't necessarily mean nice looking, but a healthy one as well. Do your research on them. BCC are not difficult snakes but they don't tolerate keeper error as well as other snakes can.

And boas bear live young, so they are not called hatchlings.

i knew they werent hatchlings but i didnt want to say babies and i didnt know what they were called... yearlings?

by expensive do you mean $300 or $3000?

I have been doing quite a bit of reading, but any suggestions would be very helpful...
