The main difference between reptile vivs and fish tanks, other than a higher price, is that fish tanks are often heavier and more solid being made to hold hundreds of pounds of water.Also, many reptile tanks these days are made with 'slide-n-lock' screen tops which are more secure, and some are now being made of acrylic.
But a normal fish aquarium will do the job just as well as long as you insulate the back and sides and foil or plastic treat the screen top.
