    Help Dividing 40 Gallon Breeder

I'm going to divide my 40 gallon breeder tank in half to house two bp. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has done it and what did they use. Any picture would be great.

    The size: 18" wide X 15.5" high X 36" long

i think petstores sell tank dividors. im not to sure how well it would work with ball pythons. but you could use anything reall as long as it is set in place.

I wouldn't expect pet stores to sell anything like that. Your best bet would probably be to try and find a piece of thick plexi or some expanded PVC and cut it to fit the tank then use some silicone caulk to seal the edges. Just make sure that it goes all the way to the top or you're gonna have them visiting each other lol.

i use plexi and aquarium silicone for my Tarantulas. the only thing in my tanks is, i have to cut the top black plastic piece. and slide the plexi right against the glass, then seal it up good. u may have to address the lid screen, i always had to put some type of weight up there to keep it tight against the plexi.

Plexiglass would work, or you could buy wood and cut to size. I would go with ubecrew610's advice and use auarium sealant. Regular caulk would PROBABLY be ok, but the auarium sealant will deffinately be non-toxic.

You could also buy trim, cut it to the height of the tank. Cut four pieces and affix them to the tank with enough space to leave a groove between the two pieces on either side. Then you would have a removable divider.

If you have trouble with humidity or ambient temps let me know. I found a great solution that is relatively inexpensive. I was able to fix this problem on all my aquariums of various sizes for a total of about 30 dollars.

    Good luck!
