Bad shed

my questioon is should i try to take off the piece at the tail? or will it come off on its own next shed?

You can leave it alone (It won't hurt anything by leaving it there) and it should come off with the next shed. Maybe bump up the humidity for the next shed - I noticed you said temps & humidity are fine but you didn't specify as to what they were...so I'm just throwing that out there.
