Getting shed off of eye ? Help !!
Hello I recently rescued a 4 year old ball and cannot get the shed off from one of the eyes. I read to soak the snake in warm water then use a qtip to help remove. I tried that and it will not come off, is there anyone here in the Kansas City area that can show me how to remove it ?? Again this is a rescued snake that was not properly taken care of and I'm not sure how long the shed on the eye has been on, I really don't have the extra money to take it to a vet. Any help would really be appreciated, thank you

If that's the only piece still stuck I wouldn't worrie just let the animal get it off. What's the Humidty in the tank? Another thing is soak them in water for a while and get a wet towel and basicly rub it down them gently.

get a wet pillow case and put the snake in it and tie a knot in the open end. it also helps to put something from its tank in the pillow case to help it rub off the shed.

You:How many snakes do you have?
Me: Oh, just a room full.
You:Eh, how many?
Me:A ROOM FULL.

Also try putting a wet wash cloth in with the snake.

soak it in warm water . you can rub your finger across it gently to pull it off .
if that doesnt work and its only the first time it has happened
you can actually leave it on until the snakes next shed .
and the next shed will pull it off ..
if theres more then 1 eye cap then i would do what you can to get them off .
I love it when people tell me, "You should think before you speak!" I'm like, "I did. It's what I think and I really don't give a crap what other people think."

Put aside some extra money in case the snake needs care.

What I do is soak them in warm water in a closed container over their hot spot for about 45 min. If the eyecap does not come off in the water, I put a piece of tape over the cap and then pull it off.
Hope this helps.

I heard that you can actually pull the snakes eye out. I wouldn't recomend doing that!
