I want to try hoppers for my cages but those tiny holes seem like it will make it hard for them to get food!
I assure you that mice have no problem eating through 1/4inch. Lots of people can confirm that mice do not starve when the food is in a hopper.
The only reason I used 1/2inch is because that is what I had. But I will be switching to 1/4 inch soon.
