Hah! At first I was just thinking, "Ok, that just looks like a snake that's off feed to me."
As odd as it sounds, our female Sumatran STP would take f/t rats from the tongs just like that. Although, the part where she carries the rat to a corner of the room is something I haven't really seen before -- that was great.
My male Genetic stripe retic does something similar, but I have never fed him outside his enclosure. He just takes the rat from the hemostats and carries it into his hide where he just swallows but doesn't even constrict.
The wierd part is that I got him as a 2 1/2 year old and he was fed live before i got him.

My summy does the same thing he will rub his face on the rat then after he decides if he like it or not he will gently grab it and retreat to his hide where he swallow it. Heck my baby texas rat is evil i give her a live pinky and she just grabs it by the head and swallows it alive (thus naming here miss pacman) kinda feel bad for the pinky though thats a horrible death.
