    Early feast!!!

I picked up four BP's (in dire need of proper husbandry) about three months ago. The three adult females and one adult male were all housed together in a 20 high, with newspaper and about 1/2'' of water on the bottom. The male and one female ate right away for me. But, the two largest females kept getting the dreaded DNE (did not eat) posted on their cards week after week. Finally one took a mouse after about two months, but the last one continued to refused.

Last night I was pre-scenting to feed everyone else and I noticed her head poking out of her hide. I set a mouse in a container on top of her tank, shut off the lights and left the room. I checked with a dim flashlight about 15 minutes later and her whole head was out so I figured this was going to be the night. I'm so happy that after three months I finally got this girl to eat!!!! Happy Thanksgiving.

Congrats on getting them to eat. You didn't mention it, but are they still housed together?

No... I would never house BP's together. The large females are in their own tanks and the others are in one of my racks.
