yes actually there is an island in the keys that has some that are supposedly breeding but i dunno about that

These are pretty rare, but a lot of police forces and militaries are starting to keep them as bomb sniffers. They can walk over landmines without tripping them, and are easier to train. There was an article in my local newspaper and a couple online a while back.
