First Rescue!
Alright, so here's my first rescue. The story is...
My anatomy teacher knows I like snakes. And my old Biology teacher told my Anatomy teacher that he has a student that doesn't want his adult ball python anymore. Of course my Anat. Teacher comes to me and asks if I may want it.
I contact him, and get the snake for free. It's about 3-4ft long, and my largest snake now. Hopefully it's a girl, because then I'll be able to breed Tora (my first male) to her sooner than expected. I suspect she may have parasites, but haven't seen any mites. I wish I took a before pic of her cage, but it was such a mess, I had to clean it. 6-7 poops, urates, and shed everywhere. Empty water bowl, no heat or even a lamp, exct.
The kid didn't think he could take care of it at it's best anymore, and so I applaud him for that. I gave the snake a new hide (which he uses constantly now) and kept the log hide on the other side just in case. New easier to clean bowl, and got rid of that dirty bark stuff he had.
This is his new temporary quarantine enclosure.

I can't tell if it's a boy or girl, cause I can only barely pop babies, and I don't have a prob set yet, so when I take it to the vet, I'll ask to sex too.
My boyfriend named him/her Steven. God knows why.

He/She's an absolute sweetheart, and eats like a charm. I fed him 2 adult f/t mice (I'm ordering some rats soon) last week and will get two more this week. He shed yesterday and I think he has a retained eyecap one one, and his other eyecap is pretty wrinkled? I'll see if I can get better pictures. Not headshy or anything.
