Cleaning the Tank?
How often do you change the bedding in the tank? Also, when cleaning the tank, do you use soap and water, windex, bleach, etc... What is best, the fumes on some of these cleaners does not smell safe.

Re: Cleaning the Tank?
i change the bedding every week or whenever there is any feces or urine.
i use hot water and soap with a squirt of hand sanitizer when i wash it out. then i dry it out and let it sit for a bit to air dry.
havent had any problems yet.

Re: Cleaning the Tank?
I use soap and water but my tank still stink sometimes b/c my snake tends to unload huge stinkers.
I know a lot of people on the board use chlorohexadine(sp?) as a cleaner. I hear its so gentile u can use it on the snake. i've only heard good things.
I've yet to use it, I"m prob gonna pick up some soon

Re: Cleaning the Tank?
Been using chlorohexadine. If I'm out, I use a mild bleach solution and let the tank sit for a while.

Re: Cleaning the Tank?
I use soap and water on my tubs and cages first, and then I use chlorhexadine
Soap and water takes away stinks and stuff and then the chlorhexadine zaps other nasties that could be hanging around.
