inland carpet pythons

sadly i don't have any pictures yet, but the boyfriend and i just picked up a (free!) pair of inland carpets from a couple who couldn't keep them anymore. i've honestly never heard of them before. when we got home i immediately searched for any information i could find, and was disappointed with the results... next to nothing.

so i was just wondering, do any of you keep them? i do have a female jungle carpet, do they require the same temp/humidity, etc?

you can house them about the same as a jungle i think. look on anthony caponellos site you will most likely find all the info needed. or google it and you can get some also. i googled it and found some info on them and as far as i can read they are in the darwin carpet family. i'm sure someone with more experience in them can help if they sign on but i dont know much about them either. i'm sure they arent difficult to house and most likely about the same as jungles or coastals.

i did google them, but all i found were general descriptions of the subspecies, etc. and no caresheets. i did read enough to find out that the pair i have are apparently also known as "murray darling carpet pythons".

i seriously doubt they're inlands... there are probably less than a dozen inlands in the entire US, except for maybe in zoos. they don't have anything to do with darwin carpets...
anyways, inlands cost several thousand dollars so unless the people you got them from are crazy or really like you, i don't know... you should put up some pics though.
the scientic name is M.s. metcalfei if you want to look up some info on them.

Its sorta weird someone misrepresenting an animal as an Inland. I mean maybe who ever they got them from did it but its just not common to see Inland even misrepresented, well I should say this is the first time I have ever heard of it. That said Colin is right most likely it isn't an Inland. I also have my curiosity peaked I want to see pics.

I can back up Colin 100%. There are currently only 10.9 in the U.S. They have all been imported in from Europe.
Inlands are several thousand dollars ( I should know,I just bought a pair. ). If all goes well, I will have them in next week!

You probably have a pair of coastals. I have actually seen a pair of coastals misrepresented as Inlands one time before.
