Do you have a UTH or heat source on the cooler side?
I have been able to use a UTH, a Night light and keep humidity up. My ambients run 80-82. I wraped my aquarium with reflectix which can be bought at home depot. I used foil tape to tape with. Reflectix is less than $20 a roll, and I was able to wrap 5 tanks and left the top screen because they have lower humidity requirements as well as lower ambient heat needed. Humidity will go as high as needed or higher, so I added two extra vents. I open as many as needed when arround 60, and gradually close as humidity drops. It will stay between 50-60 for two to three days with misting.
I use aspen substrate, with some sphagnum moss in one corner of the hot side. Since doing this, I have not needed a humid hide, as keeping humidity 60-70 can easily be done as well. House humidity is arround 30 this time of year. Last two sheds were perfect. Before doing this I had to mist often, and add a humid at shedding time to avoid an incomplete shed.
