Daisy thanks you all for the birthday wishes!

To answer some of the questions-

prototype= she's about 35" at the shoulder and around 120lbs. We keep her lean, and she's pretty active for a Dane because we have 3 other dogs. Our German Shepherd and her are especially playful together.

chetman- her shedding isn't TOO bad. The hair is so short and fine. We feed all our dogs a raw diet so that really helps with the shedding, as diet is a main reason for why some dogs shed a lot. The most important thing about getting a Dane is to research the breeders. There are a lot of bad ones out there and few good ones. The breeder we got Daisy from does all kinds of health testing on any dog she might breed, and if they don't pass them all, they are not bred. Hips, eyes, elbows, thyroid among others. When we went to get Daisy, we had a phone interview, then we were invited down for a visit, and if she didn't like you, she wasn't going to sell you a pup.

Here's a couple more pics so you can see how big she is.

These are from last spring. She's a little taller now.

Here she is compared to my GSD. He's 26" at the shoulder and 90lbs of muscle, and he looks small next to her. He can literally walk right under her if he goes under near her back legs where her tummy tucks up, and not even touch anything. Oh, that's our pug, Bruzer in this shot too. You can really see how tall she is in this because you can gauge her against the deck railing.
