Yes, she stated she wants to breed the son back to his mom. When you line and inbreed, the good traits may be magnified, but the bad ones are also magnified. Not enough breeding generations have been created from ball python breeding yet to show any signs, but if you want examples, check out what some line breeding has done to certain breeds of dogs. Bull dogs are a prime example, they have been selectively line bred for certain traits for so long that they can't even have their offspring normally anymore for the most part, most give birth via C-section. The american rottweiler is another, they were inbred like crazy, and now hip displacia is popping up like crazy in that breed.
If you want a BP example, look at Caramels. It is not proven, but many feel the kinking problem with this morph is due to too much inbreeding.
