Last I knew, opals were just a line of pastel.

Yeah I've heard the same. I actually think that Kevin McCurly refers to the super pastel as an opal in "The Complete Ball Python". I could be wrong, I don't have it with me here at work (I should just get a copy to keep here lol).

Those are some great looking snakes there! I wish we had a show like that up in this area. I was so pissed, I went to the Manchester NH show (which is pretty much the only decent sized one up this way) and all that was there was some low end ball morphs not even a single pied! JNJ was there and they definitely had some of the best looking balls there but other than that it sucked lol.

C'mon we've been waiting for months to see the super black pastel pied! I can't really pick it out of a grainy youtube video but I'm guessing it was one of the ones on that whole table of piebalds they had there.

I saw a black Pied in the same enclosure as a Black Pastel, but no Super Black Pastel Pied.

Not even sure if it was really produced.

It's in there.

The Super Black Pastel Pied has been produced, I've seen her numerous times at Ian's.

I'd like to see a big still pic of that gold dust spider. Brian says that it's a co-dominant mutation??? If that is the homozygous form, what does the heterozygous form look like? What does it look like without the spider influence? It's kind of interesting, but it's difficult to see it clearly with the video camera.

I doubt we will be seeing the base morph anytime soon. A popular way to introduce a new morph is to show either the super or a combo -- in the Goldusts' case -- both. Secrets are secrets after all.
