    when is the shed done?

So my snake had a really rough shed... He had scale rot all over his belly so I was doin what Becky (satanicintention) told me to do treatment wise. Today he shedded and it was in a million pieces. The good news is his belly looks great!

The question is how do I know when he is done shedding and I need to help him finish, although I think he got most of it by himself. When do I bring the humidity back down to the 40-50% range?

Also, he is very skittish right now because he didnt like the intense treatment he was getting. Freaks whenever I try to put my hand in the tank. No strikes or anything, just very fearful. More than likely I am going to stop with the scale rot treatment and give him a little rest. I haven't offered food in a week an a half or so because of how stressed he was. Is my best bet to not handle him for another week or so to give him a chance to calm down, or would it be better to handle him briefly (5-10 minutes) on a daily basis to get him less afraid of me?
    Thanks!

I would not let the humidity get any lower than 50% ever!
I think I would offer him food since he hasn't eaten in a while. A few days after eating, you could help him with the stuck shed and get in handling all at once!

i dont see a problem bringing the humidity down, i dont usually raise my humidity during shed and all my snakes do just fine and havent had a bad shed yet.

I keep my humidity around 55% all the time and no bad sheds for me either
