And just a note - I'm sure you already know - but there have been a lot of cases of dogs being put down for attacking people - even when it was on the owner's property. I worked at a pound and I saw "aggressive" dogs put down that had bitten someone on their own property because despite that the courts thought the dog was a danger to others. I'd keep your GSDs out of it.

Oh trust you me sister girl, I would not let my dog handle anything I couldn't. Nor would I put in in danger unless I truly needed him. He has been trained immensely, so no matter what the situation was I can control him, I truly feel that the only way he couldn't be controlled by me is if I was being hurt. He is my dog, my life and my best friend. I'd never chance him getting hurt, I protect him to the fullest. Unless I felt my life was in danger and hopefully that will never happen, but heaven forbid if it does, I know my dog would do his best to return the favor to protect me. And like all the professional dog trainers say, "if a barking german shepherd dog doesn't deter a would be attacker, then thats not a job for the dog, its a job for the cops."

But I do from the bottom of my heart thank you for your concern over my boy, it's touching knowing someone who doesn't even know him was worried about him!! And my Apollo thanks you too

awww thanks Stacey, I cant praise him enough, he is truly a wonderful dog all the way around. Friendly, loving, well trained & behaved, protective yet not aggressive and he's really got it in the looks department! I socialized him until I was blue in the face so he would be trustworthy so unwarranted bites/aggression wouldnt be an issue.

Owning protective breeds comes w/ a lot of responsibilities and I take those responsibilities very seriously!
