If this is true, it seems like a piece of cake and there should be plenty of them produced every year? Am I crazy, or am I missing something?

I would not call them rare. there are thousands of bel complex snakes available every year, and quite a few bel's. I don't think there are lots of "rare" bp morphs these days. Mostly breeders just controlling the market...flood the market lose the $. Don't think that is a bad thing market-wise, as for some this is a living, but I do think it sucks that po' folk can't afford some of the cool ones. I will be happy when the high dollar ones become low baller though, because as long as pieds are 1500 and up, and I still have kids to feed, no pied for me.
