Hey! I had a Nigerian red male for years and years before he went to live with a breeder....
I always kept him on Zoomed sand, and then went the form-able-when-wet-sand they launched a few years ago... (Can't think of the name). I wanna say that walnut might pack him up. I also had UVA-UVB strip bulb on him during the day, and used a ceramic heat bulb for heat... He loved romaine and other dark greens, but I also treated him with crickets (3-4) 1x a week. And his absolute favorite was a parakeet seed with dehydrated strawberries in it... Small Snack Attack I think? It was made by Higgin's brand bird food. He had that 24-7 and loved it. If he looked like he needed a soak... I soaked him! As warm as I would take a bath in. He'd put his fat face underwater and love it.

So there ya go... I'm not saying that this is all by the book, but this all worked for me for many years, and I see very few Euros that were as "healthy" looking as my fella.
