Get one!! He is pretty fun to watch he is always cleaning his mouth out with his foot and yawn (or something). I gave him about 2.5 inches of soil to burrow in and i got home last night and couldn't find him, i didn't think he would completely bury himself. I love him!!

nice looking frog. The mouth wiping and yawning is part of the shedding process. They will shed routinely as they grow, and then even as adults will still shed, just not as much. Don't be surprised when you see them eat the skin when it comes off.

Usually before they start a shed their skin will get a "waxy" look and feel to it. If they have been sleeping for a while or have become a little dry, their skin will seem thicker than normal. A regular shed is pretty thin, but when they come up from a long nap they look more like this when they shed.
You can see difference in the skin for sure.
