    I'm a little worried

So I tried feeding my BP an adult pre-killed mouse because I thought he was ready and big enough for one. The feeding went okay, it took him a while to find the head but that's kinda irrelevent, but ever since then, he hasn't come out of his cold hide since feeding. I waited a few days after feeding to handle him, and when I did, he seemed perfectly fine. Is he scared to come out of his hide or is he just sleeping and I actually don't see him when he's active?

    Re: I'm a little worried

As everyone on the boards says.. a hiding BP is a happy BP.

If I'm lucky and watching my BP's cage at the right time between 11 PM - 4 AM I'll see her out and about for a bit if it's been a few days since her last feed, but she likes to stay hidden when she's not hungry.

Cool Re: I'm a little worried

I agree!! A hiding ball python is definitely a happy one, that's what they loved to do, it is there security blanket. The activity in my racks goes up significantly in the night time hours. Sounds like you have a healthy ball.

    Re: I'm a little worried

My Girl is hiding all day and all night. Only time I ever see her is when she sticks her head out of a hide around 7pm or so. and sleeps like that for another 4 hours. Other than that, the only other times she comes out is the night before feeding, or if she has to drink or poop.

    I wouldnt be too worried.

Awesome!!! I've put a lot of time and work into getting her set up right and I guess it's paying off.
