    Making Soul Suckers

I have been kind of scarce lately due to being busy with snakes and work. I have gotten a few new snakes, and though I would post 2 of them up here. I will post some more next week, after we get our last of the year. First up is our first Lesser, and it's a girl. The pic after that is our new Woma male with the Lesser. Hopefully in acouple years we can make some Soul Suckers. Enjoy the pics.

    Thanks for looking,

    Re: Making Soul Suckers

Nice pick up! They are gorgeous.

Where did you get the woma from? From what I understand, NERD's womas have a hidden gene such that when crossed with a lesser you get soul suckers.

I remember discussing this with Debbie (from Ballistic morphs), who produced a woma cross lesser but didn't look like a soul sucker at all. I then asked Kevin from NERD and he verified that their womas have a hidden gene.

Can anyone clarify? Anyone successful in making soul suckers yet? They are beautiful

    Re: Making Soul Suckers

Thanks for all of the replies. I definitely love the Lesser, and don't know what took me so long to get into them.

    Tristan,
Kevin's Womas do have the possibility of carrying the hidden gene. The "hidden gene" Womas are the one that are needed to produce a Soul Sucker. I got my Woma from someone who is pretty sure that he has a Hidden Gene Woma that came directly from Kevin. Some believe that there are markers, and I think I have a feel for the marker, but noone is sure. With that said, I don't care to share what I believe, as it is not proven, and may not carry any merit at all. So, I'll breed my 2 together in a couple years, and see if I got lucky when I picked my Woma male.

p.s. Drew, I am not fully back yet, but I am seeming to get a bit more time lately. Hopefully starting in December, I'll be wide open, and back to rummaging around.
