Plastic Tub Odor
Hello all! I'm new to this forum and have a quick question about tubs.
I'm currently trying to switch from a glass tank to a 35qt. tub but I can't get the rubbery/plastic smell out of it. I've tried washing with a vinegar solution, washing with various bleach solutions, and washing with water but to no avail. Does anyone have any other tips? Thanks.

After it has been used for a couple weeks, the plastic smell should be gone.

It just needs to sit for a while. Snake poop should help

Agreed with the rest..
No worries. It just needs to be aired out.

Thanks all. So should I let it air out without a snake in it? Or will the smell not bother the snake?

The smell of plastic won't bother the snake.

i wash all the new tubs. either with antibacterial soap or with a very weak bleach/water mix and rinse really well and then dry it.
i HATE that new plastic smell, it gives me a head ache, especially when ya buy a bunch at once.

I agree. But the snake won't be affected by it? Seems kind of hard to believe...
