Help! Need Higher temps and humidity.

Hello,
I recently moved and my temps and humidity are much lowwer than usual.
Temp is around 75 in basking area. Humidity around 40. I have a big 150 watt light over the hide and water. Can anyone recommend a good heating pad ? or a better way to bring up that humidity. Have had A LOT of trouble shedding lately. Thanks

u gotta give more specifics (type of enclosure, etc...).

if it's a halogen or similar bulb, make sure it's not due to be replaced.

i use zoo med pads. lots of others use them as well.

Well the first thing you need to do is get a decent thermostat and a good UTH would be a good idea. I take it you have the snake in a tank? Check out this thread http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showthread.php?t=56846 for help on setting up a glass tank. The best thing you can do to get the humidity up though is putting some plexiglass or aluminum foil over the lid and mist if you need to.

Reptile Basics (google them) carry Ultratherm heat pads which are the best. I always put reflectix under them to protect the surface they sit on from their heat like so:

The lamp may be causing your lowered humidity. Once you get the pad, you should be able to lose the lamp altogether. The pad can go under the enclosure and should only be under about 1/4-1/3 of the tank. You can put the waterbowl over the heat pad partially or fully until you get the right level of humidity in the enclosure

Also Ultratherm heatpads work great for low temperature areas I use them on both my QT tanks and they works just fine even though temps are relatively low in my room.
