Re: super mom
first rat litter to a first time mom and she had 13 pups. so far I see milk bands on the pinks, but I can't tell if they all have milkbands. she is by herself in the tank. I tried to put the other female in with her days before she had her litter and she was beating up the smaller female. how soon can I put the male back in with her without endangering the newborns?

Well a rat can get pregnant immediately after having a litter. I would wait til the babies are at least weaned though before putting the male in with them.
