    Skipped Season?......Is this normal?

I have a great collection, they are all great feeders...banging down rats regulary. They shed perfectly. Really seems everything is going well...until last year they didnt breed for us. This year we put them 2gether and they went @ it like rabbits, but later than they should have. But they did get the lock up, multiple times. ;0P Snakes after my own heart! he he he. Anyway...my question is.....why? Why did they skip a season? What have I done wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance for your input. wendy

Some animals just know when to much is to much. Back to back breeding isn't always a good or healthy thing and has been proven to cut down on that animals life. Think if you were in their shoes ERMMMM I mean scales, would you like being pregnant every year? Same goes for any animal.

Are you saying one pair didn't go for you or your whole collection? Were they young?

Edit...I see you only have one male. Was he young, over weight, something? I would probably get a back up male so that doesn't happen again.

I don't know anything about breeding yet, I was just curious.

Might be any combination of factors or just nature taking it's course. Just pay careful attention to what did work to allow for them to want to breed and replicate that next time. If all is well and they want to breed, they will. If all is well and they simply don't want to, well - better luck next year I figure.
