    Cinnamon X Black Pastel....

does anyone know if a cinny x Black pastel will make an all black snake like the super cinny, or the super black Pastel? they both make pewters so that tells me they react the same way to other morphs. anyone have any ideas?

Yep, they basically produce the exact same morphs, and if one were to combine the two together you can produce an all black snake. Aside from looks and people preferance, the only difference is that cinnies produce sterlings(super pastel X cinny), and black pastels produce silver streaks(super pastel X black pastel).

Also, the super black pastel is supposed to be darker than the super cinnamon. If you cross the two lines there is supposed be less chance of the duck-billing that is common with the super forms. I don't know how true it is, but that's what I've heard.

    Re: Cinnamon X Black Pastel....

Cinnamon and Black pastel may not be the same gene. However, they are allelic. Crossing 2 cinnies, 2 black pastels, or a cinnie and a black pastel will create the same basic super form--the super cinnie is more brown, the black pastel is more black, the combo is somewhere in between.
I'm not entirely sure if someone has bred a super created from cinnie/black pastel back to a normal to see if both cinnamons and black pastels or produced, or if the offspring look somewhere in between instead (indicating it's the same gene).

Confusing the issue is the fact that no one seems to be sure what a silver bullet or silver streak is these days, just that it has cinnamon or black pastel and pastel jungle in it, in some combination. <lol>

This is the same situation as the mojave, lesser, and Russo. All three snakes look different from each other--although mojave and lesser look somewhat similar. The super form of each is a BEL. Not all BELs look EXACTLY alike, but all can be produced by ANY combination of those 3 morphs.

This is hard, but I would go with the Cinny, and if it was a Super Cinny, then it would be no contest.
