In my personal opinion I think most people are more concerned about balls escaping than scorpions....

I'd say find better room mates.

Both.
Because both are beautiful, fascinating creatures.
And because I have two ball pythons, think there the greatest little dudes in the world, and have always wanted a scorpion (among a million other pets).
Though, I'll have to admit, ball pythons are easier to keep. A frozen mouse won't escape and hop around your house like crickets tend to do.
Someone keeps trying to access my accounts. Who are you? Just e-mail me, as that's clearly how you're finding me. Quit messing around.

It seems weird to me that your roomates would go directly to the landlord without first coming to you to discuss any concerns or issues. Are you sure the landlord is being completely truthful, and not just saying things to make you get rid of the BP?
What does your lease say about pets? If the lease says no pets they could probably hold you to it, even if they let the scorpion slide by before. Did you discuss the possibility of getting a BP with your landlord and roommates before going out and buying one?
In the end, everyone in the house/apartment has an equal right to be happy and comfortable in the living space they pay for. If a majority of the people don't want the BP and your lease says no pets you may be out of luck.
Hope everything works out for you.

I agree, You need to have a talk with the housemates. Your land lord may have a fear of snakes and is using your housemates complaints as an out. Or your housemates are truly uncomfortable about having the snake there.
Good luck.

Ball Python cause In my experience less people are afraid of snakes than they are scorpions. If someone doesnt like snakes don't take it out or put the snake in a tub instead of an aquarium. I like both but I would say a ball python. Plus Its great when people learn that ball pythons make great pets and it would be an awesome learning experience. It all comes down to would more people warm up to a snake or a creepy crawly.

There using the bp as a scapegoat for other problems, they dont talk to me abotu anything because they are not open to compromise. on the plus side my landlor knows im a good guy and offered me an appartment closer to the university and will ammend my lease to allow the bp so im happy.

Nice deal with the lease amendment! Sounds like you found a good landlord there.
