Just so Deborah doesn't think I made it up... (new Fire!)

    Hi all,

I had NO intentions of bothering this poor snake till he had his acclimation, but Deb INSISTED I get on it.

I picked up 3 snakes at the Montreal Expo this past weekend, by the time I got them home (I am a metro and bus guy) the poor snakes were cold and I wanted to get them into QT and warmed up, so I didn't take any pics.

And as cruel fate would have it, when I cracked the tub to peek at my new additions, my most anticipated snake was in full blue. But he went out of blue the next day, looked pretty hot, then tonight when I looked in he was wearing a zippy new suit and looking like "whoa, you love me or what!?"...

So I had to take a pic to prove I wasn't lieing and I did FINALLY get my Fire.

For those that know me, know that I LOVE Fires. I have wanted one for a looooooooooong butt time, but just ruled them out due to the cost factor.mWell a few years later and a third job later... I got my Fire male and a 1.1 Enchi pair as well (no pics yet).

It wasn't until I was at the show and heading to pick up my newbs that I realized that I had never seen a Fire OR an Enchi in person before, but had wanted them for the longest time. After seeing them I could not be happier with all 3. They far exceeded what I had ever expected either of them to look like.

And I know people say it all the time, but pictures do not do either of these morphs justice. In person they are the "super" versions of what they look like in photos.

Oh yeah, the snake... here he is freshly shed.

I mean really... look in the face. Can't you just hear him saying... "I like totally love you and stuff"... and yes, 40 photos later and not ONE with a clear head shot. He is a busy busy busy boy.

    Bruce

PS: I think I may wear him on my hat to work tomorrow. I mean he has to be seen!

Oh please don't blame this on me, you know you wanted to show him off

Your snake is ugly and since I am your friend I will take it of your hands so you don't have to feel bad everytime you open his tub....how does that sound?

Seriously that snake is definitely the kind of fire I would pick if I was gonna get one, that reduced pattern is just amazing, his color is insane and I bet it is 10 times better with proper ligh.

he is gonna make some killer babies.

You know you might just have changed my mind about getting a fire, like I needed another project.

Ok now where are those Enchis

Please excuse my ignorance, but what makes the "fire " morph?

What are you looking at to determine if a snake is a fire?

He's STUNNING Bruce! I love him! And we definitely need to see Enchi pictures.

The subtle morphs are some of my favorites!

Hah, the enchis are still waiting to shed, but they took their first meal the other night.

They are just beautiful too. I am so glad I broke down and got these three. Definitely changes my plans around, but I have time to get that spider before the female enchi is up to weight... I really want an enchi spider, enchi pastel... OK, I want an enchi everything... but that comes in time.

I do not think I was prepared for how bright the Fires are, and how much orange (not the rusty orange) that the enchis have.

And yeah, Mr. is gonna be busy. Hopefully he gets his game on for this season.

I agree. I have a nice bright pastel female I hatched out this year, so with any luck... in a few + years.

[QUOTE]Please excuse my ignorance, but what makes the "fire " morph?[\QUOTE]

A fire is a morph on its own. It is not a combo. A fire makes a fire, and two fires make a Black Eyed Leucistic.

I could not agree more. After seeing all 3 of them I was just in awe. I bought them and paid them off without ever having had seen either morph in person prior.

I will get the enchis up with they shed (not close to it yet) but I want them to have their Sunday best on for their first Kodak moment. I took a few pics for my own records of their markings, but I am holding off.

Thanks Pat. I was surprised that he was as bright as he was to be honest. Happy, but surprised.

Thanks for looking all, and thanks for the comments. Sorry for the overkill, but I am still just really happy with this little guy.
