Please help!
Yes, I am dutifully ashamed... my Fluffy got where he shouldn't have, and I can't get him out without a crowbar and serious destruction of my apartment. In making the decision whether or not to tear apart my place, I'd like someone else's knowledgeable opinion on my situation.
Fluffy is under my kitchen cabinets. On the other side of the cabinets is the bathroom wall, with a radiator up against it, hopefully providing him some warmth. Near the hole he slithered into, I have set up his heat lamp, trying to lure him back out with a basking spot. He's definitely under there, because I've seen him poke his head out, but I fear that if he doesn't come out soon the cold floor with lower his temperature to the point that he'll be too inactive to choose to leave. I've put a thermometer on the floor to try to find what that temperature must be, and it seems to stay only just above 60F. With his heat lamp, I've heated it up to about 80F. Can I trust his heat pits to guide him, or should I get ready to lose my security deposit?

Re: Please help!
i would put a live rat in a cage near the hole.. put a hide nearby incase he figures out he can't reach the rat and is looking for a new hiding spot..

Re: Please help!
agreed try all other options before tearing my apt up lol. also im not sure of your finacial situation but you could purchase a rigid see snake to locate the exact spot hes at and tear out that small area if its the last resort. i lost one under my tub and i purchased it to locate him and it was awesome. they will show u anything in any small craks or walls. its a wand with a camera in it that attaches to a hand held lcd screen. they go for around 220.00 to 300.00 bucks but u can usually find them on ebay a little cheaper.

Re: Please help!
How long has he been under there? One my bps got away from me and I was too afraid to pull him and hurt him. He got into my GAS OVEN!!!! (thank god it doesn't have pilot lights) I couldn't get him out even after taking half the oven apart. I even took the panels off and the broiler, top and everything else I could get. I took the opposite route.....not sure if it was the right choice. I turned off the furnace, opened the windows and blocked off the refrigerator so he wouldn't find warmth there. I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do, but it worked, it was 65 degrees in the house. He came crawling out cold and searching for warmth less than an hour later.
Good luck! I hope he comes out for you soon!

Re: Please help!
Put a box just large enough for him to fit into. Put a heating pad under it. If you have a very small cage put a rat/mouse in the cage and put it into the box. Turn down the heat in your apt. Turn off the lights. Go to bed or sit really still. every 2-3 hours check box. I have found this to be a very good way to get snakes. You have to make sure the temp in the apt is colder than the heating paded box. Good luck. After you catch him fix the hole
