Re: Need help to identify my new ball python
The first snake looks similar to the SK Toffee Ball, that did NOT prove genetic...however, I would definately breed him to a nice Pastel, and see what happens. Take him to a normal too.
I like the look, and wish you luck.

Looks like a dinker project waiting to happen. I think it's most likely a fantastic looking normal. He's nice a fat (looks part blood)LOL

Re: Need help to identify my new ball python
Good luck with him and let us know how his babies turn out.
Here is a somewhat similar looking female I picked up in a pet store along with one of the daughters that proved her genetic.

Of course the hope with anything like this is that it will be co-dominant with an even more stunning super and/or will make neat combos.

Re: Need help to identify my new ball python
Thanks. I just wish I had a son like her to breed back. I see a fair number of ch like the original poster's that look interesting and tried to get one but didn't work it out in time. Now I'm thinking I'm just going to throw a pastel, spider, and mojave at her this year and see what comes out. She's been eating some pretty big retired breeder rats but still isn't really back to fat yet after 14 eggs last year.

I also agree that's not just any old normal. I'm thinking along the lines of at least a genetic strip and it almost looks like a cinny to me Great pick up Can't wait to see what you do with her!
