    Reptile Show Questions

I'm planning on attending a Reptile Show here in Houston next month, and since it'll be my first, I'm curious...

I've heard that prices at these shows are usually cheaper than what you see on a website or in a shop. Are they really? Would I expect to find a semi-common morph that's not in the $100s? Will the supplies actually be cheaper that what I could wrestle up in a local store?

I'm used to going to anime conventions, where nothing is a 'deal', and usually higher priced than a store. So the concept of a reptile show being cheaper is kinda weird to me.

Also, if I end up purchasing a ball python there.... how do I get it home? Do they give me some type of snake-proof box to put him in? It feels like a stupid question, but I hafta ask.

Usually yes, they are cheaper. They don't want to bring the animals back. Of course this all depends on the breeder, the morph and the animal. According to the size of the animal, it will come with some type of container.

    Re: Reptile Show Questions

Here in Iowa they were cheaper! I ALMOST bought a nice looking spider for $150 and was offered a MOJAVE for $200 I SOOOO wish I would have taken him up on that deal, but didn't exactly have any money laying around and my boyfriend would have killed me for spending that much on a snake. Next year though I'm getting some sort of morph at the show!

I highly doubt you will see any morphs under $100 expect for maybe a pastel male.

I haven't heard of any morphs being less than a 100 except for maybe a male pastel. Even at a convention, they may only be 30-50 dollars cheaper.
    It's not like half price.
