This statement is true ... for the most part, but it really sucks when some of the pain could have been avided. Situation like this make me angry, and I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Thanks again everyone. He had gotten me addicted to bp's, so if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have so many others. Although every other BP I have, was a larger financial investment than this one, he was/is my favorite I've ever owned. He won't be forgotten.

That statement is NOT TRUE!!! Life is terminal- that's all. It's what you make of every moment that defines one's life. The dreams you dream; the dreams that you can turn into reality; the happiness and laughter and tears and loss: all a part of life. NONE of this sucks.

What is so sad is a tragic loss of life. Why we are saddened so much by it is because we can't explain it in our mind and so we are left only feeling it. And only feeling something, without the distractions of our logic, is very powerful.

Ben's situation has been very powerful for all of us. It is a deep feeling. Our collective mind has no explanation for it; no rationale.

But life does not suck.

That's so sad, Ben. I'm really very sorry to hear about that. I can't believe anyone would do such a thing, and I'm shocked that your roommates would even allow it. I agree that it is time to get a big lock for your door. Moments like these make me really appreciate my guys.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm curious as to why you put him in the freezer rather than having him put down by the vet. ?

Just remember that time heals all. "This too shall pass" as they say. I'm sure you did everything you could for him. If snakes could feel love, then I bet he would have loved you.
