I second that! You could maybe get by with smaller adult females in the 32 quarts, though I use the 41s because I like the extra space for breeding time. I use the females' tubs for breeding. But I have heard of people using 32s for breeding as well.. just my personal preference to use the 41s. I am talking Sterilite.

what is the "rule" that you guys use to upgrade them from a 32 qt to a 41qt/cb70?

Weight? Size?... Just curious to know what to look out for when i get there... mine are currently housed in 32 qt tubs

Seriously, I have tried to post in this thread 3 times now...why cant I post, it doesnt say it is locked.

Is a 40ish qt really big enough for a big girl? I have a small, 900 gram, gir that seems like she could use a bigger tub if she put on another half kilo.

these girls are in 32 qt tubs. I feel I need to upgrade to 41qts. both girls are 3000 grams. One thing ive noticed with these big girls in these tubs is that they are always dumping the water bowl. I also have a 900 gram Mojo and a 1300 gram female het albino in the 32 qt tubs and they are eating better then ever since moving them into a rack.

Newbie here. Why can't you put a young BP in a 27 or 32 QT tub with several hides? I've had various pythons and have always used tanks but I'm thinking of getting at least three BP's for my kids and want to save space with a rack system. I'd rather not start with small tubs and move up since they grow quickly.

What's the down side to keeping a young snake in an adult size tub?

    Thanks.

It can be done. I don't recommend it because with Ball Pythons, security can be an issue. If you do it, I would recommend several small, tight hides and if you experience problems with the snake not eating, crumpled up newspaper to fill in some of the space.

Is there an inexpensive rack system that allows the use of various size tubs as the snakes grow? If not, are there plans posted anywhere?

    Thanks.
