I would Say copperhead but the head is like a drk brown or black...

That is an absolutely stunning little eastern hognose. They actually have quite a broad range of patterns and colors which seem to be local specific. I some areas they seem to look more like Pigmy Rattlers, in others Copperheads. Has often made me wonder if there might not be subspecies with them like there are with the westerns. I would LOVE to have a beauty like that in my collection. If you turn the pic on its side, so that the animal is facing you, their is no doubt that is a little hoggie head. One thing I know for certain is that you cannot ID an Eastern hognose simply by its pattern or color.
