How many snakes will you have?

Oh my... well that is a dilema... I want to have 5 adults to breed and have some holdbacks The reason its a dilema is cause my boyfriend says he wont let me have more than 3 snakes at any given time (I am marrying this boy). poo on him i will hide them in my closet!

I don't think I want nearly the number that you guys are talking about. I'm hoping to pick up a nice male to court my girl, but who knows when that can happen.

I think a breeding pair or two would suit me for many years.

I could, however, see myself retired many years down the road, and running a small time snake/reptile operation. Who knows?

I'm thinking within the next 10 years, the number of snakes purchased and holdbacks from breeding will be 10 or fewer, but of course if I'm breeding then the number of hatchlings will far outnumber that. I wouldn't count those as "my pets" though, I'd just be the temporary carekeeper until I found them good homes

Right now, I have two breeding pair of RTBs. They won't be up to breeding weight for another couple of years or so, plenty of time for me to get some more room. But I really don't plan on expanding that large. I want to keep two or three from each litter, and will probably add another one or two to the cycle depending... but nothing huge. And even if I have four or five breeding pairs, I will probably only breed one or two at a time. I don't want to overload myself... it's just me here, for the moment. But, you never know what the future might hold!

I have 3 Bci's and hope to get one more next season; however, one of them will go with my son to college and beyond!!

I have 13 ball pythons and will breed some and keep my most favorite morphs from the pairings (BEL, Bee, pastel mojo, etc.) I really hope to keep the numbers somewhere within sanity...

Well in 6 month i went from 0 snakes to 10. So my goal is 100 in the next 3 years.

Nice! That is alot snakes to get within three years.

I have a feeling that my est. number is going to change dramatically since I keep getting snakes that I didnt plan on getting.

My goal is to top out at 60 breeder ball python females and breed half each year (heavy on the pied combos: cinnie pied, albino pied, super pastel pied as well as clown combos). Probably 10 breeder males, and a ton of hatchlings and juvies growing up / for sale.

I only have 2 so far, but I'm guessing that I'll end up with somewhere between 10 and 20 snakes, not including any hatchlings from possible future breeding experiments. I currently only have the 2 bps, but I plan on getting a RTB and a GTP for sure, possibly a corn or two, maybe a blood or two too...

I can't even begin to honestly answer that. Currently I have 27 with plans to buy at least 5 more in the next year. However with my other business getting steadily more busy, I may end up having to cut back or hire someone to help out. This is also (hopefully) my first breeding year so I have no idea how many I will hold back.
