Cinny OR Fire....Het Axanthic - You Decide.

With breeding season fast approaching I've been going back and forth about where to go with one of my proven breeder Axanthic females.

Down the road I do want to produce firefly axanthics and fire axanthics.......but at the same time am planning on pursuing pewter axanthics, silver streak axanthics, and super pewter axanthics.

This year I've got a shot at pewter pos het axanthics regardless but without breeding the fire to the axanthic no chance of fire het or pos het axanthics.

Next year with the help of my Pastel Axanthic male I will have a shot at firefly het axanthics and pewter het axanthics.

So....back to the original question.....what should I do this year?

Do every pairing you possibly can without stressing the snakes out! Haha but on a serious note, do what you love! If you like one better then the other go for that, its not like you can only breed this one year. There will still be plenty of time in these snakes' lives for you to produce morphs you love! Good luck

Hmm...I wish I had a clear opinion one way or another! But alas, no.

Re: Cinny OR Fire....Het Axanthic - You Decide - THE POLL

Same with me....I can't decide....I think fire axanthics will be cool but cinny axanthics will be so-so (hasn't someone already produced these?)

The real deal will be combos with other morphs.....silver streak axanthic adults and firefly axanthic adults will hopefully be awesome.

Thanks for fixing the threads and for the votes!

Re: Cinny OR Fire....Het Axanthic - You Decide - THE POLL

Wow, yeah I voted cinny het axanthic just for the combo potential (plus I'm a sucker for cinnies ) Just think not only axanthic pewters in the future but maybe even an axanthic silver bullet OMG the odds would be stacked against it ever happening.... Let's see super cinny, pastel, axanthic lol I'm sure someone can figure out how to plug that into one of the genetics wizards and figure out your actual odds of producing one but that would be a HOT snake and a genetic freakin powerhouse! Just my ever so humble opinion

If you used hets it would be tough....

cinny het ax X pewter het ax

Silver Bullet Axanthic would be 1 in 32.....

Might as well just do pewter het x pewter het for a super pewter axanthic (super pastel super cinny axanthic)

I voted for fire het axanthics. The sooner you produce some female fire het axanthics, the sooner you can breed your pastel axanthic to them and hope for some firefly axanthics. I've got high hopes for the firefly axanthics to keep that black and white into adulthood.

Re: Cinny OR Fire....Het Axanthic - You Decide.

I'd rather have a male I've got a 0.2 of pastel axanthics from this year as well as a 0.2 of 2007 lemon pastel het axanthics.

I'm super excited about firefly and super firefly axanthics hoping they are almost purely black and white snakes as adults. Kind of a DIY anerythristic.

But then again silver adult snakes (silver bullet, pewter, silver streak, super pewter) all should be interesting as well.
