Just feed as usual -- if she gets to where you are comfortable breeding her then breed her -- if not then hold off til next year.

In my limited experience I've noticed that after the first few introductions to the male the females will tend to feed heavier -- they know what nature is intending and they will start packing away the fat stores to make it happen.

But yeah -- be mindful of the QT - that is one thing you don't want to rush.
