new kingsnake
my roommate and i are planning on taking over care of one of his friends kingsnake. they don't want it any more (lucky us ), and according to my roommate, the snake is no longer being cared for properly. i just read the care sheet on this forum, and just wanted to see if there is any other info that can be added. i haven't seen it yet and have no idea as to its health, history or even which species it is. any general tips would be great.

all i know is that it is black with white bands, but i thought there were multiple species/morphs with that kind of coloration.

Cali Kings are the more common banded King but Easterns can have quite thick banding on the odd specimen.
